The orthodontists at our practice are supported by an incredible support team that include our Oral Health Therapists, Courtney Smith and Ali Sawari along with our reception and assisting team: Angela, Kim, Jen, Linda and Trish. Courtney

Oral Health Therapist

Courtney graduated from The University of Sydney in 2009 with a Bachelor of Oral Health. She has worked in different clinics in Melbourne, remote Northern Territory and Sydney focusing on developing her skills in different areas of dentistry. Since 2015, Courtney has worked exclusively in speciality orthodontic practices. She loves getting to know the patients and seeing how much they change in confidence over the course of their alignment treatment. Her favourite appointment is putting braces on and helping patients to understand their role in looking after their teeth during treatment.

When not in the clinic Courtney has been utilising her orthodontic expertise to help develop a training program for new graduates Oral Health Therapists to help them learn and understand aspect of orthodontics that aren’t thoroughly taught in universities.

On her days off, she loves spending time with her family and travelling when she gets the chance to!

Ali

Dental Hygienist

Ali started his dental journey in 2016 as a Dental Assistant in Western Australia. During this time, he found his curiosity in dental health and a strong passion for working in healthcare. He went on to study an Advanced Diploma of Oral Health (Dental Hygiene) in South Australia. After graduating, he practiced in Tasmania before finally settling in Sydney 3 years ago.

When in the clinic he is passionate about educating patients on the importance of good oral hygiene especially while undergoing their orthodontic journey. He strongly believes in prevention before intervention when it comes to your dental health!

On the weekends, Ali likes to spend time with his family and friends, and also work on his personal health and fitness goals.
